You Matter 2 provides youth with a safe space to develop positive relationships, leadership skills, and discover their passions. Our mission is to provide opportunities for youth to serve and make a difference in their community. As a result of our programs, our vision is for youth to remain civically engaged, be empowered to forge their own path, and have academic and lifelong success.
You Matter 2 is looking for leaders like you to join our board of directors. We are searching for volunteers that will be the strategic heart of our organization, ensuring that our work for youth will deliver real results, respond to changes in our community, and always deliver the highest ethical standards to be worthy of public support.

If you are one or more of the following, we'd like to talk to you:
- Energetic and entrepreneurial business people, who are not already overextended with other commitments, eager to put their enthusiasm for changing our community to work for our youth.
- Community leaders and philanthropists willing to engage their peers to provide opportunities and support.
- Leaders at our partner agencies -- education, child and youth services, career coaching, STEM -- interested in building strong programs with us.
- Scholars/academics who want to put their expertise in youth development, physical and mental health promotion, children, youth and families to work in the community.
- Parents/grandparents and others who have a demonstrated talent, joy and energy in chairing successful fundraising events and promotions.
- Attend monthly board meetings
- Actively serve on one or more of our committees: Executive, Fundraising, Finance, Governance and Nominating, Program, Communications and Community Outreach
- Advocate for our needs in the community and among your colleagues and peers
- Be always curious to learn more about the field of youth success, as well as nonprofit governance
- Each year by December 1, Board members will make a personal financial contribution of at least $200 and will make giving to this organization a priority or one of their top three donation recipients.
